Located in the Tumble Creek neighborhood, The Meadows Residence is a thoughtfully designed so that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. Set against the backdrop of a woodland meadow and Ponderosa pine forested mountains, the house takes full advantage of its sweeping views. The design emphasizes simplicity and clarity, with a hierarchy of masses expressed through simple gabled building volumes. The central, dominant volume serves as the focal point of the home, offering expansive living spaces and framing the breathtaking vistas of the landscape.
To create a sense of separation and relief between the building masses, the design incorporates subordinate volumes with lower roofs. These secondary volumes step down from the central mass, ensuring a gradual transition in scale and creating a harmonious balance between the different elements of the structure. The lower roof forms provide a visual distinction, emphasizing the primary form while maintaining an intimate connection between the spaces.
